| Customer Reviews: Adorable meet Indestructable; Indestructable, meet Adorabe. February 12, 2010 Sarah Crabtree 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
The Hobo International Zoe wristlet/wallet meets all of my expectations--and then some. And it's hard to meet my expectations. Here's the thing: I'm an absent-minded professor trapped in a young woman's body. I look like I should have my life together, but really, it's a miracle if I know where my keys, bus pass, credit card, driver's license, and cell phone all are.
But to survive, I need that miracle to happen automatically. I'm busy! I have a fast-paced job and I take evening classes. I don't have two hours to spare rooting around for a freaking bus pass. And so, I figured the solution to my problem would be to get something that physically attached to me so I could keep track of my stuff. Duh, right? A wristlet--any wristlet--would do!
And so, I bought a cheap wristlet. And it sort of worked for...3 weeks. Then I realized that I needed my wristlet do more than just attach to my arm and look pretty. I upgraded 8 more times before I finally purchased the Hobo International Zoe wristlet/wallet on Amazon.com. It's a little bulkier than I hoped, but given that it's a powerhouse among wristlet/wallets, the size isn't a dealbreaker.
Ultimately, here's what I needed: credit card pockets, a zipped coin section, a section for flat dollar bills, enough space to comfortably hold my T-Mobile MyTouch phone and a small Moleskine planner, a full zipper across the top so things couldn't fall out, to not be datasafe so my work badge could just scan through it, and a durable connector between the part that connects to the wrist and to the wallet so they wouldn't separate accidentally. Oh yeah, and I still needed it to look adorable and match my entire wardrobe.
Too much to ask? Nope. The Hobo International Zoe wristlet/wallet in black accomplishes all of that and more.
More? How is that even possible? Well, tonight, I was physically attacked on my way home from class. Some jerk-wad thought it would be OK to steal my Zoe wristlet from me. But I had it wrapped around my wrist and I had a grip on it with my hand--so even though I was knocked over several times and kicked, and even though the jerk-wad tried to pry the wristlet away from me repeatedly--I was able to hold on and get in a few kicks of my own because the connector was built so solidly. Eventually, help came and the jerk-wad ran away. Whew! Yikes! Zoikes! Terrifying and so not cool. But I'm ecstatic that I prevailed through this battle with the help of my left-hand gal, Zoe the wristlet/wallet. Zoe, who saved me from having to get another driver's license, set of keys, cell phone, 4 credit cards, Moleskine planner, and $37.63. Zoe, who unlike her owner, still looks completely flawless after a rough night.
My Zoe has officially earned her stripes as a trusty and formidable sidekick. I bet yours will, too.
